Age Concern Canterbury operates in an environment of increasing demand. We rely primarily on the generosity of the community, which supports our work through legacies, donations and membership fees. More funding allows us to help more people, reducing loneliness and isolation for many older people in our community. We are also deeply indebted to the efforts of our 375 volunteers without whose help we could not function. All donations should be made to the Chief Executive, Age Concern Canterbury, PO Box 2355, Christchurch, 8140

It is a very important and necessary legal document which must be prepared and signed according to strict rules to be effective. You should seek help about this. If you die without making a Will, your estate (your money and property) will be divided between your near relatives in proportions fixed by law, which may not be what you wanted.
If you wish to make a gift of all or part of your estate to a specific organisation like Age Concern Canterbury this is called a Bequest. This may take the following forms:
Leaving a bequest to Age Concern Canterbury will directly help older people enjoy a full life for more than your lifetime.

No special qualifications are needed, just genuine interest in older people. A pamphlet can be sent out to interested people. Areas which may appeal include are listed below along with the staff member to contact:
